April’s Farm requires a great deal of maintenance. This gives the opportunity to have a go at fencing, building and plumbing where new skills will be learnt. The satisfaction of seeing what you have accomplished is beneficial in itself.

There are twelve horses and ponies of various sizes, giving plenty of opportunity for feeding, grooming and mucking out. 

As well as the looking after visitors get the chance to have fun with animals.

A tractor and trailer ride will take people around the farm. The trailer has been adapted to accommodate wheelchair users. The route takes visitors to the furthest away parts of the farm. 

Arts, Crafts, gardening, cookery and woodwork are also very popular activities.
